 Bob was at the 2004 Mildura Country Music Festival from Sept. 24th to Oct.3rd, playing guitar for DONNA BOYD. They performed 22 shows in 10 days and are pictured here onstage at the Coomealla Club. In late 2004 and early 2005, Bob will be playing guitar at various shows with Donna and WAYNE HORSBURGH. Check Bob's GIG GUIDE for details...
| One of the highlights of the 2004 International Country Music Conference at Belmont University, Nashville (see further below) featured a delegation from The Shetlands headed by Karl Simpson, grandson of Thomas Fraser. Music historian DANNY ALLEN created a 50 minute documentary on their musical pilgimage to the USA and it was aired Thursday 10th November on BBC Radio Shetland. Bob Howe was one of many people interviewed during the program. |

 Oct. 2nd: While broadcasting from the Mildura Country Music Festival, John invited Bob into the ABC Sunraysia studios to co-host the 4-hour Saturday Night Country broadcast that featured interviews with many of the night's award winners... Pictured Above: Bob (far left) and Johnno (far right) with Donna Fisk and Michael Cristian who had scored a hat-trick earlier that night at the 2004 Telstra Country Wide Southern Stars - the 8th Australian Independent Country Music Awards of Australia - by winning APRA/AMCOS Independent Country Music Single of the Year, Independent Album of the Year AND Independent Artist of the Year.

Sydney Country Music Week is a joint initiative of The Country Music Association Of Australia, The Galston Country Music Festival, Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL and Rooty Hill RSL. August 20: Bob was invited to be one of the judges for the 2004 Australian Children's Music Foundation National Songwriting Competition for High Schools. His musical reputation has been utilised on several judging panels including The 32nd annual Country Music Awards of Australia ('Golden Guitars') and the Galston Country Music Festival 'Golden Saddle Award' (2001-2004).

 April 28: The Rotary Club of Galston honoured Bob, Helen Kay and Margaret Fagg with Community Service awards for their involvement and contribution towards the success of the Galston Country Music Festival. Perhaps you saw Bob in March, performing on the Central Coast of NSW along with legendary Australian vocalist LITTLE PATTIE, pictured on the right.
Jan 2004: While at the Tamworth Festival, Bob performed at a number of shows including Telstra Road to Tamworth, the Tomkins Guitar Showcase, Joe Maguire's Pub with Donna Boyd and the Arthur Blanch/Webb Brothers/Karen Lynne show with Roll of Renown inductee and pedal steel maestro Kenny Kitching. As Musical Director for the Telstra Road to Tamworth band, Bob also made several appearances with quest winner 14-year-old JESSICA MAUBOY from Darwin, including Jessica being the surprise guest artist at visiting Canadian Country star TERRI CLARK's two Tamworth concerts.
